Moksha Fest Weekend

yogagivesback.org

I went to yoga class with 18 people flowing through the asanas, being healthy. Bought groceries at Trader Joe's before returning home for lunch. Took Blue Bus to Moksha Fest, handed out flyers & got free samples. Also collected business cards from vendors & will ask them to give me more free samples. One of the perks of going to a health fest is making connections with like-minded people. Took photos of Yoga Gives Back & other booths. Posted them on Flickr + tweeted about this charity. For the cost of 1 yoga class, moms in India can start their own businesses, kids can go to school & reach their dreams. Beautiful handmade products made by Nishtha (Artisan Group). It supports over 250 villages, runs 5 health clinics, and 3 schools (including 1 for the children of sex workers). 90% of the $ earned from your purchase at www.yogagivesback.org goes directly to the women who made the goods. Got a free Eco Lips lip balm there cause I was helping by taking pics & told them I'll help promote "Thank You Mother India". If you have not heard of this fest, go there (1310 11th St, Santa Monica 90401). Vendor area, art exhibit & healing camp are free.

If you are a company with 10 or more employees but don't have a Corporate Wellness Program, you need one to recruit and retain quality people. With the rising costs of health care, it is more cost effective to hire me than to have your staff lose work days due to illness or disease and pay higher insurance premiums. Also consider being a partner or sponsor of Fit-Twist (WLACC member & HCC member). I host and promote health events, meet hundreds of people at each event and will give you leads if you sponsor Fit-Twist.

Healthy Networking is the next big thing. If you are a health provider, please sponsor this group for just $30 a year. Discount ends on 8/31/11. Price will go up to $60 a year in September
