Health and Wellness

Sat 7/22 at 11 am Join me for a free yoga class that employs 3 simple steps to empower you to break free of old beliefs and habits that don't serve you (with regular practice).
RSVP at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/free-yoga-and-health-event-tickets-35997814432

I came across this review of the best fitness trackers by www.reviews.com and want to share it with you. I've used a Fitbit Flex 2 before, but found that it made exercising less fun for me. I incorporate exercise into my daily life by walking and practicing yoga. I also like to do HIIT Cardio Strength training and Zumba. I just finished reading Stress-Proof Brain and want to share 7 tips for building a healthy lifestyle with you.

1. Build more exercise into your daily routine

2. Find a specific cue to prompt you to exercise (eg. Write Exercise on a sticky note and put it on your bathroom mirror or pin up a magazine photo of a person exercising)

3. Find intrinsic (internal) motivator rather than external one. Why do you want to be fit?

4. Find exercises that you enjoy doing. Have fun.

5. Be clear about what regular rewards you're getting - having more energy, managing stress, improving your mood, etc.

6. Think about your barriers to exercising and have a plan to address them. If you're unfit, start with a small, manageable goal such as walking for 30 minutes a day. You can walk 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes after dinner.

7. Write a personal exercise contract. Download template at Newharbinger.com/stress-proof-brain

Eating for a Healthy Mind + Body

My Healthy Breakfast Recipe

Yogurt Parfait - I mix a bit of Lifeway Strawberry Kefir with Trader Joe's plain low-fat yogurt, put some Quaker Low-Fat Natural Granola and a few slices of strawberries on top to make a healthy breakfast.  That way, I get whole grain (good carbs), calcium, probiotic, protein, fiber and feel satisfied. What we eat and how we eat has a great effect on our sense of well-being. "We are what we eat." It doesn't take any more time to eat healthy than junk foods; it's just a matter of making healthy choices. Make the change in your diet gradually so it's possible to train the body to like healthier foods instead of junk. If you try to make too many drastic changes in a short time, your body may simply rebel. It's easier to change one meal or food group at a time.

Over the years, Ilse Klipper (the author of Coming Into Harmony) has made many changes in her own diet like eliminating refined sugar, coffee, soda, meat and processed foods. Now, we both enjoy fresh  fruits and veggies, eating healthy snacks and drinking herbal teas. As we have learned to follow a healthier diet, we notice that our bodies are becoming healthier and stronger. Each week, I will follow her exercises/ guidelines for a happy mind-body relationship and share with you what I've learned. Today, I'm reminded by the book that everything is in perfect order, just as our lives have been perfectly designed to work according to their own plan. The shift in focus from external to internal is a major turning point in the way we experience reality. We're conditioned to look outside for happiness (to pursue it) so it's hard to change. Meditate, turn within to cultivate a positive outlook - be in touch with the happiness, peace and harmony that is inside us. Observing the mind, converting negative thoughts into positive ones isn't easy but this is a powerful practice. Karma = the law of cause + effect. We reap what we've sown. Sooner or later, everything balances out. Do we have a + or - balance?

Instead of focusing on what's happening around us, we can consider the larger purpose behind the scenes. Understanding perfect balance can lessen our fears about the turmoil in this world. Then we can use our higher understanding to do good, to share our love and compassion by helping others as well as ourselves. If you have a bad situation like chronic pain, long-term unemployment or a serious illness, you could either lie in bed or sit at home feeling depressed or you could face your reality with a positive attitude and examine how to improve your condition. With a positive attitude, you might be able to use your thoughts to speed your healing or recovery. Even if the illness is terminal, you could still face each day with hope and love rather than fear because your higher self/ spirit is indestructible and eternal. Affirmative Actions + A Positive Attitude = Power to Change Direction + Better Quality of Life.

Financial & Human Resilience

Fit-Twist Wellness: Health = Wealth

Financial resilience is the ability to withstand life events that impact one's income and/or assets. Some financially stressful events such as unemployment, divorce, disability, and health problems affect individuals. Others, such as recessions, stock market downturns and acts of terrorism, affect our society as a whole.

"Research by Dr. Sharon Danes, a professor and Extension specialist at the University of Minnesota, found that there are 5 characteristics that enhance people's resilience in the face of life's changes and challenges:
  1. Positive people view challenges as opportunities and consistently "use lemons to make lemonade." They reframe situations positively and often use the expression "it could have been a lot worse" when comparing their misfortune to others.
  2. Focused people determine where they are headed in the future and stick to their goals so that life events and other barriers do not deter them.
  3. Flexible people are open to new and different options when faced with uncertainty.
  4. Organized people set priorities and develop structured approaches to manage change.
  5. Proactive people work with change rather than defend against it.
Financial resiliency is enhanced with financial resources, such as savings, health insurance, and a good-paying job. Another resource is one's human capital - defined by economists as all of the knowledge, skills, experiences, contacts, and other personal qualities that people have to "sell" to potential employers. Personal health is part of human capital because it affects job performance and productivity. Social capital also increases financial resiliency. This includes a support system of family, friends and others that can provide emotional support, financial and physical assistance during hard times. Practices that can increase financial resiliency are especially important during a tough economy. Every small positive step makes a difference.

Never consider your education or job training finished. Continue to develop new marketable skills and take care of your health (e.g., good nutrition, screening exams, and exercise) to increase your human capital) and remain employable in today's very competitive labor market."

5 Reasons to Try Yoga

Yoga at the Park

2. Lack of balance is a common cause of falls and bone fractures. Yoga can help improve your balance. (www.healthmonitor.com)

3. Yoga can help ease stress, lower blood pressure, boost your immune system and improve your mood.

5. Yoga may be a great way to exercise, relax and even relieve pain. But the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons says you can do more harm than good if you practice yoga incorrectly.
  • Talk to your doctor before trying yoga if you have an injury or medical condition.
  • Practice yoga with a qualified instructor who has plenty of experience.
  • Always warm up before yoga.
  • Wear clothing that allows you to move freely.
  • Learn proper technique and the basics of yoga. If you're not sure of how to do something, ask questions.
  • Don't push yourself too hard, and stop if you have pain.
  • Drink enough water.

I love yoga and know that everyone should try it but many people I've talked to have a misconception about yoga, a bad experience in a yoga class or heard a horror story from someone they know. So they don't want to try other classes like Laughter & Yoga or Fit-Twist Yoga. I believe in being gentle with my new students and slowly building up the intensity and I always give them options to modify the poses to suit their physical conditions or to rest in-between. I remind them to breathe, to focus on their intention (what they want to get out of their yoga practice) and honor their own bodies.

The PCTV Diet

I am on the PC/ TV Diet because I spend too much time online and used to watch a lot of T.V. I stopped sitting in front of the "tube" when I started Fit-Twist, but I've realized that being glued to my computer is not healthy. I'm taking a break and going to do more activities outdoors. I wanted to blog about Dr. Oz's 7 Days to Boost Energy, but lost my post halfway because I accidentally clicked away from this site. I forgot to publish/ save it halfway as I usually do. Instead, I'll quote Vibrant Life - "Forget about getting ahead in life: you feel as if you’re running just to catch up! If you don’t have the energy to do what you want to do—or what you have to do—try these 7 strategies to feel more invigorated.

1. Plan
How many times have you come home from work, wondered what to make for dinner, put on the spaghetti sauce, and then realized you don’t have enough pasta? Time for a dash to the store or call to order pizza. Before the week starts, take time to plan your menu to minimize the last-minute rush. Also, my tip is to make extra servings during the weekend, store them in containers to bring to work as lunch.

2. Delegate
If you feel out of control, ready to give up before you even start, it’s time to delegate. Take an honest look at all the chores you do–both at home and at work–and ask if somebody else can do some of those instead. I need to hire a part-time sales person to help promote Fit-Twist. I also plan to go on vacation during Labor Day weekend.

3. Eat
Where does your energy come from? Kids know, because we tell them all the time: “You’d better eat your breakfast, or you won’t have any energy at recess!” You get energy from food, yet bad eating habits can rob you of energy instead of providing the boost you need. “We can’t overstress the importance of eating breakfast,” says Peter Vash, endocrinologist at the UCLA Medical Center. Don’t skip breakfast, but don’t grab a doughnut or pastry because you’re in a hurry." My tip is to put a healthy snack bar in your lunch bag or purse in case you don't have time to sit down for breakfast. Kashi bars are my on-the-go snacks.

4. Relax
Stephen R. Covey, author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, claims that many people spend their lives “putting out fires,” dealing with daily drama. If these things are consuming your energy, it could be because you’re not putting your energy into the things that will prevent such crises, including nurturing your spiritual side and spending time with people you love. I'm going to take some time to refresh my spirit–even if it’s only for 15 or 30 min.

5. Say no
Look in the mirror and repeat this 10 times: “No.” It seems deceptively easy. Yet many people have trouble saying the word. When someone calls for a favor, do you automatically say yes so they won’t be mad at you? I've decided to write down the activities that I think are reasonable and important for me and focus on doing those things. Many people work because they think they need the money, yet when they add up all the extra expenses of working (such as child care, business clothes, and a second car), it often is hardly worth it. Get rid of the things that bog you down. Then practice saying no. It gets easier with time.

6. Sleep
Before electricity, pioneers tended to sleep 10 hours a night. In today’s round-the-clock society, you can watch late-night TV at midnight or be on the internet before the crack of dawn like me. And what happens? You get sick more often, feel exhausted during the day, and are more accident-prone. Some people feel proud of the ability to survive on 6 hours of sleep yet "if you’re getting less than eight hours of sleep you’re likely sleep-deprived and have less energy during your waking hours." James Maas, author of Power Sleep says.

7. Expand
One surprising reason you might be tired is because things are always the same. You have the same job or routine. Do something that's different and have fun. (Source: Vibrant Life).  I'm going to San Francisco on 9/2 and won't be back until 9/6. Hope to find out more about this beautiful city (my sister Cornelia used to live there and I visited her often). Love the easy access to public transportation, the free walking tours that I went on with SF City Guides and want to create a group like that here in L.A.

Be Happy & Grateful

Laughter & Yoga Sundays 6-7 pm (Venice)

Here is the remarkable truth about focusing your life on gratitude, you attract people who live the same way. Yesterday, my meetings felt more like the reuniting of my tribe than they did business. There was no convincing, or selling any ideas, just a true and resonant sharing that what is most real and precious about life begins inside of us. This is a seemingly simple shift - pulling our attention inward to find what we are looking for- but challenging in a culture inundated and drowning in how it looks out there. It becomes more simple once you start practicing being happy & grateful, because you begin to feel both the spaciousness inside and an energy that moves in you. It isn’t magic, although I know this sounds like it.  The wonder of harnessing and directing your capacity of attention will change how you live.

This is not a place-based access, and it can happen everywhere.  Make an intention to stop looking outside for what can only be discovered inside. This is the truth - the groups/ tribes that flourish share a single path into one’s heart. This single intention changes everything and I am beginning to become acquainted with the tribe. Another key to finding this space is giving up the focus on the how. Clear intention does not lead with how to get things done. The how of it will present itself, usually in ways that you couldn’t anticipate anyway. This is the essence of the letting go that is at the heart of receiving. It is a magnet of goodness that will bring you deeper into why you are here.

Please share a story about how your gratitude has attracted the wonders of the life you lead.

5 Daily Habits Of Successful Entrepreneurs

Have you ever noticed that when you get things right in your business, other opportunities start arriving, with almost no effort on your part? It’s all about momentum. Other people—potential employees, prospects, vendors—naturally want to be part of a good thing, so they flock when your business is growing. Over the years, I’ve noticed that they often rely on small daily habits and routines—both in business and their personal lives that keep their business moving in the right direction. These disciplines aren’t complicated but they pay big dividends.

Plan tomorrow’s agenda today
Scott Cullather, CEO of  inVNT, a live events agency in New York, meets with his key support team before the close of business to go over what’s coming up the next day. “We review and forecast what tomorrow is going to look like and how we’re going to get through that,” he says.

Put your meetings on a diet
Ask entrepreneurs who left corporate America what they don’t miss and they’ll tell you it’s those endless, often unproductive meetings. Many fast-growth companies keep meetings short, so they have time to get projects done. For instance, Cullather limits his afternoon huddle to about 15 minutes.

Find a way to manage e-mail that works for you
They key is to avoid getting sucked into constantly responding to and sending e-mails, which delays you from finishing projects on time. Many business owners like the system suggested by David Allen, the well-known author of Getting Things Done. He offers a free PDF full of smart tips, such as putting e-mails you need to act on—and those you don’t—in separate places in your inbox. Find ways to reduce the number of useless messages you view, so you have more time to work on what matters. OtherInbox, for instance, pulls e-mails from various senders into folders you’ve designated and even unsubscribes you from e-newsletters you no longer want.

Never stop selling
You’ll lose productive days if you wait until you’re almost done with your current projects to pitch new business. The smartest entrepreneurs I know are always cultivating new business, so they can quickly plug holes that open in their schedule. Often, it’s a matter of sending an email saying, “Anything else I can help you with?” at the end. They are prepared to bring on temporary help in case they get overbooked even if it’s simply through an arrangement with a reliable freelance colleague.

Exercise regularly
Cullather puts on his running shoes daily and then hits the streets. “It’s amazing to me how many creative ideas have come to me during these long runs in creative solitude,” he says. “Not only does it give you the physical endurance to work 18 or 20 hours a day but it helps stimulate your mind and your thinking.” When Cullather is traveling, he hits the gym—often a great chance to spend time with clients or network informally. “When we’re working with Fortune 500 companies, their senior executives are there before the conference begins,” he says.  Shouldn’t you be there, too?

Everyone Can Make a Difference

 $5 supports Ovarian Cancer
Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly star) has a few things in common with the 15 other extraordinary teens featured on Parade. Like the members of PARADE’s All-America Service Team, she is committed to public service, as an active supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “They tell you to give back because it helps other people, but you also get a lot out of it.” It’s a sentiment Cosgrove shares with winners Grace Li and Joe Burgum. She recognizes the power of the Internet: writes about St. Jude on her Facebook page and tweets about it to 860,000+ followers.

PARADE's All-America Service Program, in partnership with the Points of Light Institute/generationOn, aims to honor high school students who are changing their communities through service. About 15 million students in U.S. schools are participating in service activities. “By helping solve problems and meet needs in communities near and far, students enrich their own lives, strengthen our country, and improve conditions all over the world,” says U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

I believe in giving back and support good causes on my blog, Facebook page, twitter, website and volunteer to promote some charity events. Are You a Cultural Creative? 50 million adult Americans belong to this group which comprises of the more educated, leading-edge thinkers including many writers, artists, musicians, psychotherapists, feminists, alternative health care providers and other professionals. Let's collaborate. "Feel Empowered from the inside out!" Exercise + Good Nutrition = Health.

Do You Eat Enough Fiber?

Just 100 calories.

According to Jesse Richardson most Americans are far below on their fiber intake, averaging 15g a day - half as much fiber as people should be eating, especially for men. Women should look at consuming 28g. There are 2 types of fiber:

Insoluble fiber adds bulk (making you feel fuller), reduces constipation and acts as a laxative. By removing more toxic waste in your stomach in less time, this fiber helps to regulate pH levels in the intestines (protecting you from colon cancer) and promoting regular bowel movements. More fiber not only helps with waste passage, but also boosts the health of your stomach!

Soluble fiber comes with its own set of benefits. binds with fatty acids. Eating more of this fiber often results in a lowering of LDL (bad cholesterol), reducing one’s risk for heart disease. Soluble fiber also delays sugar being from being absorbed and thus released more slowly, so those with diabetes are better able to control blood sugar. Some good sources of fiber to consider are: dark leafy vegetables, wheat bran, whole wheat products, oat bran, flax seed, fruits, and assorted nuts. (Source: Organicsoul.com)

I love my Kashi bars, Quaker Low-Fat Natural Granola and Trader Joe's Organic Golden Flax Cereal because  each serving of these have 4 to 5 g of fiber. I also eat lots of dark leafy vegetables such as broccoli & spinach - "good sources of many vitamins (like vitamins A, C, and K and folate) and minerals (such as iron and calcium) and fruits like blueberries, Danielle Chips (The Honey Banana Chips have 2g of fiber, 3g of fat & 10g of sugars), etc. Research suggests that the nutrients in dark green vegetables may prevent certain types of cancers and promote heart health and your body needs a little dietary fat to absorb some of the vitamins found in dark green vegetables. Add a bit of olive oil  or healthy salad dressing to your dark green vegetables to make sure your body absorbs all of the vitamins you eat."  (Source: www.youngwomenshealth.org)

    Friday Recap

Went to a free Rich Dad Stock Workshop, got some good info about investing & a free DVD worth $19.95. They talked about Cash Flow (passive income), how to get out of the Rat Race, be with like-minded people & take action. The biggest obstacle between you and what you want is you. Education is key to success. Whether you wish to be healthier or wealthier, knowledge is power. I hope to share what I know and have learned about health/ fitness with everyone.
    Fast Fri @ Cafe Rivva

Guess where I was for an hour before I went to yoga class?  Visited a new health/ beauty store and a cool ice cream shop in a friendly, fun neighborhood. Took photos and posted them on Flickr. Got home around 4:30 pm, walked my dog Sparky, ate a light dinner & went to Fast Friday at Cafe Rivva that benefits Global Fast, Hungry for Change Clean Water initiative. One day each month, they fast and give to benefit an awesome new charity project. Left some flyers about my yoga classes, gave some to people when I passed by them. Hope to get a good turnout for tomorrow + Sunday's Laughter & Yoga.

    How I Stay Healthy

I try to get 7-8 hours of sleep, eat well and exercise regularly. Exercise + Nutrition = Health. Every morning, I walk with my dog for 15-20 minutes before work. I attend yoga classes 5 times a week and teach Fit-Twist Yoga classes. For breakfast, I have a quick recipe:

Mix a bit of Lifeway Strawberry Kefir with Trader Joe's plain low-fat yogurt, put some Quaker Low-Fat Natural Granola and a few slices of strawberries on top to make a healthy breakfast.  That way, I get whole grain (good carbs), calcium, probiotic, protein, fiber and feel satisfied. I bring a Kashi bar for a snack and homemade salad for lunch. After I get home, I walk with my dog for another 15 minutes before dinner (around 6 pm). Then I enjoy a traditional Chinese diet of rice and dishes made with mostly vegetables. If I still feel like a snack an hour after dinner, I'll have some fruits. Occasionally, I treat myself to some organic dark chocolate or a small serving of Ciao Bella Gelato/ Sorbet.

    Maintenance + Prevention = Health
These are the supplements that I take daily:

Emergen-C vitamin drink mix with 1000 mg of vitamin C, electrolytes, 24 nutrients, 7 B vitamins, and antioxidants. I love their fizzy, fruity, fun flavors. Get free samples now!

Amazing Grass Organic ORAC Green SuperFoods that help defend your body against the effects of free radicals. Their power is measured through ORAC, or Oxygen Radical Absorbency Capacity. With a combination of 5 key antioxidant blends made from high quality fruits, vegetables, and herbs, this is my secret to healthier skin, better brain function and immune system.

Reserveage Organic Resveratrol: Doctor Oz recommends that his viewers only take Resveratrol from a company that produces the supplements in an oxygen-free environment. Reserveage agrees and has always been doing it. 60 Minutes (CBS News) has a segment on this supplement called Wine Rx.

Nature's Bounty Mega Chromium Picolinate is a key component of the glucose tolerance factor (GTF). Chromium works to support your body's use of sugar.* Chromium is also involved in the release of energy from cells, and plays a role in protein and fat metabolism.*

PhysioLogics 5-HTP 100 mg: 5-HTP is a precursor to serotonin, a neurotransmitter involved in sending messages through the brain and nervous system.* It supports a calm, relaxed mood and promotes feelings of well-being.*

    Love the Principle of YES

We are Youthful, Energetic and (Sexy) = accronym for the word “YES.”  "Age is not a factor here, but attitude and actions certainly are. Do you give off the impression that you’re always worn-out, tired, broken down, bored, or boring? We have all heard the saying that, “Age is just a number,” but getting to “YES” is more than just going out or dressing younger. Being youthful means staying active (both physically + mentally), and it means being positive."

"How much energy do you have each day? Now think for a moment how your energy (or lack thereof) effects the people around you. I’ll bet you get told “no” a lot and it’s not necessarily that you have bad ideas. It could be your lack of energy preventing you from getting to “YES.” People who are full of energy are more attractive to others" like my friend Kim Selbert, Laughter Yoga Leader. I love her energy and enthusiasm as a person and a teacher. So, follow the advice of http://blog.startups.com

    • Change your frame of mind and BE EXCITED about work. Even if you’re in the middle of a particularly difficult project, find SOMETHING, no matter how small, that you can be excited about, even if it’s just getting the project done.
    • Laugh! It’s so simple and it may seem a bit silly but laughter really IS the best medicine – for pretty much anything. Laughing more helps you be more youthful while increasing your own energy and that of others.
    • Get Enough Sleep and Exercise Regularly. It’s nearly impossible to be youthful and energetic without appropriate rest and fitness.
And remember, a positive, optimistic attitude, attracts positive people and business into your life.

    Flickr
I visited two grocery stores in West L.A before driving to Culver City. I checked out 2 places there that may not be as well-known. The first photo (top right) is the courtyard of a gathering spot for seniors, the next 2 (top left & 2nd right) is a cute pet store in a mini-mall near Overland and Venice. I love the kefir & yogurt at Grocery Store 1, but I also found a healthy tasty treat at Store 2.

      Fit Fun Dogs

Do you love or own a dog? Want to have
a Fit Fun dog? Connect with other dog
lovers. Join us. Daily exercise and good
nutrition = Fit Fun Dogs. We are a
healthy online pet store and a social
      networking site.
Say "hi" to my dog Sparky, a 2-year old female that I adopted from the shelter. We are a part of the Fit-Twist family. I am also an event planner who organizes Fit Fun activities for dog owners with my Fun-Dogs group. It's free to join and most events are cheap or free. There's a cost to running this group so we are looking for supporting members or sponsors. Say no to puppy mills and adopt a dog or find a reputable breeder at AKC. I am a member of SPCALA and HSUS.
      Doga: Yoga for Dogs
If you enjoy practicing yoga, perhaps your dog will too. Dogs are already very adept at stretching and getting themselves into a peaceful state of relaxation, so they are a natural when it comes to yoga. What exactly is doga? “The class is just like any other yoga class I would teach, but the dog is incorporated into all the poses.”  Doga instructor, Suzi Teitelman said. Doga includes relaxing massage, stretching, rubbing, omming, loving, flowing and breathing.

      The Benefits of Doga
Just like people after a good yoga session, dogs seem to feel happy, excited and free. Some even seem to feel proud. The long-term benefits of doga are better health, flexible and toned bodies, and a closer bond with their human.  Not only does doga have all kinds of benefits, it gives you a loving experience with your dog.  I want to teach a free doga class for a group.

      Tips
Invest in exercise and healthy food to take care of yourself and your dog. Don't think you're saving money by getting cheap, mostly junk food. We are what we eat. U.S.A is the fattest country. 70% of Americans are now overweight says the report, a number that will balloon to 75% in 2020. Food researchers indict the couch-and-mouse lifestyle, with people watching more T.V. and clicking online. That's why I'm on the PCTV Diet.

      Local Farmers Markets

This morning, I got this delicious Soyogurt at Whole Foods Brentwood to snack on and checked out the Farmers Market. Talked to the vendors about my blog and took pictures. It was still early, so I got to browse around freely without having to fight the crowd. I walked over from my home with Sparky, but had to tie her to a tree because they don't let dogs in the Market. Tasted free samples of yummy chocolate, Just This fruit bars, fresh fruits, juices and Brothers Spreads and Tapenade. Bought 3 cartons of different flavored spreads because they're so good. Would love to share a booth and pass out free health and fitness information each Sunday. Left some Fit-Twist business cards with the vendors. The guy at Brothers Products is a nice young man who clearly loves what he does because he got me to try the variety of spreads/ tapenade and the stuff sold themselves.

      1. Garlic Spread made with garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and salt.

      2. Lebneh/ Herbs with yogurt, herbs, olive oil and salt.

      3. Olives Tapenade with green and black olives, spices, olive oil.

12103 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove, CA 92840

Will return to Brentwood Farmers Market next Sunday and talk to more vendors.

I also visited the Market on Ocean Park & Main St, but that one wasn't as friendly to outsiders like me. They told me I couldn't leave my flyers at any stalls. I won't go back there except for Sno:la yogurt because I love the chocolate fro-yo and Masako is a very nice lady.

Health & Fitness Fest in Santa Monica

I was at the Health & Fitness Fest on 3rd Street Promenade for about an hour today. There were many health and fitness related exhibits, samples, free classes, demos, etc. This event is fun with lots of people. I posted this on my Holistic Health Club site and Yelp! I took many photos of the vendors. Maybe one of them will sponsor my blog.

Kim Selbert and I will teach Laughter & Yoga classes on Sundays 6-7 pm in August. This fun combo class is for everyone, even if you don't know how to do yoga. There will be dancing, laughter, music and movement. It'll also be a Fit-Twist Party with free samples and a raffle for prizes. We'll have lots of fun. Space is limited. RSVP to reserve a spot now. For more info on Laughter Yoga, go to Kim's website below.
