Choose Less, Weigh Less obesity prevention public education campaign
October 4th at 10:30 a.m. in Grand Park at the Park Stage. 
The Park Stage is located in the park near the Hill Street. 

Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky will join Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Director and Health Officer Dr. Jonathan E. Fielding for the launch of "Choose Less, Weigh Less," a countywide obesity prevention public education campaign focusing on meal portion size reduction. The campaign, funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Community Transformation Grant, will include ads on transit, radio, television, and other out-of-home media elements throughout Los Angeles County. 

Coinciding with the launch, DPH will release new countywide adult obesity data from the 2011 Los Angeles County Health Survey. Supplemental materials will include fact sheets and consumer resources on portion size reduction.
