is a new way to be healthy inside out. 90%
of illnesses are stress-related. Many
women suffer from stress-related problems that arise from today’s hectic
lifestyle. As they juggle their busy
schedule, they have little time to de-stress and relax. Without a healthy
outlet to reduce stress, these women often succumb to unhealthy and unhappy
lifestyles. We have "sickness" insurance because our doctors don't treat the causes of diseases, but just push pills that cover the symptoms and have many bad side effects. Most gyms or yoga studios
don’t have child care or classes for all ages. My center will have affordable child care,
classes for all ages and guest speakers who are experts in their fields to
educate and empower people to focus on preventive care instead of waiting until
they get sick. Fit-Twist will be an affordable and powerful resource to empower
women to be well in all areas of their lives.
Background: I have a Health blog and use Social Media to promote wellness. As a certified
yoga teacher, I am also writing a book that will empower women to believe
in themselves and go after their dreams. Projected gross revenues of $86,000 to
$115,000 for the first year based on market research and industry trends.
Summary of Business Strategy: Fit-Twist will use a mix of affordable innovative
and traditional marketing strategies to grow in a controlled way in the chosen
pilot market (Los Angeles). Long range plans are to grow Fit-Twist nationally
and go global in 5 years. The demand for prevention as a part of health care
will grow due to the aging population and rising costs of health care.
